Party for A Purpose

Well, the 2nd annual 'Party for a Purpose' was a huge success once again. We raised almost $12,000.00!!! CRAZY!! The money will be used to buy Karim their very own bus, so no more walking and no more sharing a bus with 20 other children! The bus they use now seats only 9 people but 30 of them ride it!! And it breaks down 3 out of the 5 days of school a week. Also the children are the first to be picked up, 6:15 AM and are the last to be brought home, 6 PM. Having their own bus with the neighbor driving, they will not have to leave for school till 730am and they will be home by 4-4:30, so this will cut their long day by 3 hours! More homework time and more playtime!!

I just want to thank everyone for coming out and supporting Karim Orphanage. Thank you to all who donated to the silent auction and Thank you to Jody & Danielle and my friend Gina for all their help. Could not have done it with out you ladies~you are the BEST! Thank you to the musicians, Murray Nelson and his friends, who donated their time and talents~you were awesome! And Thank you to Greg & his staff at Mr Mike's, who donated all the food for 125 of us~great supper! THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
