Just as Excited as I was the First Time!

Cianna (middle) her mother, Marilyn (right) & grandmother Jean (left)~3 generations going to Karim!

Well, Christmas has been packed up and put away once again. The house is clean and quiet, although, I do miss all my children & grandchildren being here. The champagne, red wine and butter tarts are gone....for awhile. Now, I can start to think and get prepared for, yet, another trip to Africa. I actual had to ask my husband tonight "how many times have I been to Africa?" He laughed and said "well, that's pretty sad or you're pretty LUCKY if you can't remember how many times you have gone to Africa." haha ! Well one might say I am LUCKY but I don't believe in luck. This is truly what I was meant to do. I love what I do and I do what I Love!! Simple! And I am just as excited to go as I was the first time I went 3 1/2 years ago!! oh and by the way~it's trip #7!!
I must say, I was overwhelmed by the number of Christmas cards, letters and donations I received from friends, family and complete strangers. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! Thank you for the kind words and for inspiring ME to carry on with what I do. My New Years Resolution... to continue to INSPIRE even more! I can't believe the number of people around the world that are following my blog. It amazes me and I hope to double that number in the New Year.
Well, I leave in just 16 sleeps. This time, for almost 2 months! My husband Greg and his brothers and sisters will join me the last month. So excited! I WILL miss my grandchildren, Brody & Natalie and all my children, as well as the rest of my family and friends but this is something I NEED to do. My children just laugh & shake their heads and say "again?" They also know that these young children at Karim, NEED me more right now.
The first month I am there, I will be joined by the EYRE family~3 generations~ Cianna, a Lethbridge university student and her mother, Marilyn, and her grandmother, Jean. So excited for them~it's the first time for all of them! And they raised over $7000.00 so that we can finish the water project. We will be putting up a water tower and tank! After spending a month with them I will be joined by my husband Greg, his brother Randy & his wife Dolores, his sister, Janie and her husband, Bruce.
The year is filling up with 'RAFIKI'S' (friends) for Karim. We are booked for most of January, all of February, March, July & August, part of December, and already into January & February 2013!! That's amazing! Having friend's visit 'Karim' is what is going to help Rehema and the children become sustainable! So, if you are thinking of visiting Karim, make sure you let me know ASAP, so we can get you booked in. It WILL be a LIFE changing experience!

From my family to ALL of you...I Hope you all have an AMAZING New Year full of Love and Laughter and Health!
Love Mama Linda
