Volunteer Letter

Dear Linda;
First of all I would like to thank you for all your work in making arrangements for us to stay at the orphanage. If I may quote my daughter " Everyone needs to do this at least once in their life." The children were wonderful and it is amazing what a short time it takes to get to know them and to really enjoy each of them. Their personalities and playfulness and happiness are inspiring to everyone they meet. We had the opportunity to spend a couple days at home with them. We had Canada day Olympics where we sang and had teams and races and prizes and food. It was a fun day and the children were home from school the next day as well. We visited the school and enjoyed helping Dada with the washing and cooking and dishes. We also really loved the Safari. We saw everything and I would absolutely recommend this company to other travellers. We were very tired and very dirty when we got to the hotel and were grateful for a hot shower and a good night sleep. The children enjoyed the pool the next day although it was very cold for them. We had floats and a great afternoon with them. We appreciated the chance to say good bye and we also met the other team that had come.
I talked with my family as a group and the thing they wanted to help with most of all was digging the well deeper to have access to water. My children recognized the need for water and how difficult it can be without running water to the home. They helped haul water up from the well in 5 gallon buckets and were amazed at the wrok involved with obtaining water for cooking, cleaning and especially laundry for so many children. As promised, we would like to contribute to making the well deeper so there is a source of water available to the children and care givers at the home. I do however want to make sure I go through the correct channels so I would like to propose that I make $1500.00 dollars (that is the amount Rehema gave us) available to Bridges of Hope to give to you for the well.
Thank you again and I pray that God continue to bless your work in Tanzania.
