Guest Speaker at Rotary

So, tonight I was asked to be the Guest Speaker at one of the Rotary Meetings~the Urban Spirits of Lethbridge. To be able to speak about my 'Passion' and my Love for Africa, of course, I said "Yes" ! Rotary is the PERFECT fit for what I do~we love to help people, change people's lives; volunteer~that's what Rotary is all about and so am I! Danielle Tait asked me a few times to come and speak and I am SO glad I finally made the time to go. That club is so excited, so passionate, so emotional, so fun....it made me want to join Rotary. I am so excited for them to get involved with me and Karim Orphanage. I have such a fantastic plan for this Rotary club, just can't mention what, until it is all finalized, but it will be GREAT for both Karim and the Urban Spirits Club! Speaking about Karim Orphanage and my Love for Africa comes easy for me~I speak from the heart. I have been asked to speak at a few functions now and have a few more booked ~quite excited about this now.
Danielle, an Urban Spirits Rotarian, and her Mom, Jody Tait, are going to Tanzania in just a few short weeks to spend time at Karim and of course do some great work. Jody went to Africa, her very first time, with me in February. Jody, very much like me, is very fortunate, blessed with a wonderful family, a beautiful home and a great life and to go to Africa is totally stepping outside of our comfort zones! To tell you the truth, I NEVER thought Jody would return to Africa. So it is true what I was told "Be careful when you go to Africa, not for your safety but because you will become addicted to 'the Love for Africa' ! "
This will be Danielle's very first trip! I am so excited for her! Tonight Danielle was very emotional, I think it is finally sinking in~she is going to Africa! I am proud to say that Jody and Danielle are my friends and I can not say enough thank you's to Danielle for inviting me to this meeting. I only wish I was going with them~I love to experience someone's 'first time' in Africa. Again, Danielle, thank you and you are going to LOVE africa!
This was the video I made for my Rotary presentation so I thought I would share it with you.
