Yes, it is true....my heart is in Africa! And Yes, it is true...another story has been written! And I will tell you right now... another and another and another will be written and will be told! I had someone come up to me the other day and say "So, I see YOU made the front page of the paper again!" I simple smiled, with a big smile, and said "ME? It's NOT about ME! You mean what I DO made the paper!" He just looked at me with this funny look. I asked him if he has ever helped someone, helped in a way that has literally CHANGED someone's life. I said "I have" and it is THE best feeling in the whole world! Next to becoming a Mother and a Grandmother, of course! I told him, my goal is to 'Inspire' as many people as I can so they, too, can do something, big or small, to help someone, and have that same feeling I do. And I told him WHAT I do has Inspired alot of people around the world so I will continue to "Do what I Love" and tell my stories. That story that was written in the Lethbridge Journal, had 7 complete strangers contact me in the past week! They have donations, they have grants, they want to help in someway! How awesome is that! I get emails and phone calls everyday, from complete strangers as well as from people right here in my community and home town, asking how they can help and when can they go to Africa. The other night I was out visiting in my home town of Picture Butte and I had a friend, that I had not seen in a long time, Terry Kerkhoff, sit beside me. Of course, we talked about Africa, and he told me how really proud he was of ME and WHAT I do! It took everything in me, to not cry! Thank you, Terry, you made my day! Mission accomplished! I want to inspire people! I want to make people, family and friends, proud of me! That is what I want people to remember about me, when I am gone! So, remember to "Do what you Love and Love what you do"!
