5th Annual 'Party for a Purpose'

Wow, I can not believe this is going to be the 5th Annual 'Party for a Purpose'. I still remember having our very first one! It was shortly after my husband, Greg, and I visited Tanzania. It was my second trip and his first. I had to take him there to meet the most beautiful children ever. The children, that touched my heart, in a way that I can not describe, when I visited the first time with my daughter Lisa. I had heard Rehema and the children were being kicked out of their 2 small 8 x 8 rooms they were renting and had no where to go.  Because they stole my heart, I was compelled to go back and help. We went to Tanzania looking to rent or buy a small house for Karim Children Care Centre but instead we bought an acre of land! Now what do we do with an acre of land? Well, lets get together with our wonderful family and some awesome friends and have a party.... a 'Party for a Purpose' !!  That first Party raised almost $20,000!! And I must add $10,000 of it came from my good friends at Flaman!  It was enough to build a new home on that acre of land, for Karim Children Care Centre. It is now a place, that 18 children call home.

Since then I have become the Tanzania Project Manager for Bridges of Hope. I continue to fundraise for these beautiful children of Tanzania. Many projects, big and small, have been completed over the past 5 years for the Karim Children Care Centre as well as for the neighbours. Also, all the children of Karim and even some of the neighbour children are in school and getting an education. One of girls has even graduated this past year!!  None of this would be possible without your continued support.  

A big Thank You, to all of you who have come out to our 'Party for a Purpose' each year. I hope to see you all again this year!
