Rain and Mud , Mud, Mud!!

We enjoyed the sunshine for 2 days and the rain is back! They call it BIG rain...I would call it a freaking down pour! So now that the kids are back to school for the first time since I have been here for 3 weeks...we have a problem with the school bus getting stuck. After being stuck the first day the bus driver refuses to drive the road...so we walk, with the children, a very long long way. The children have no boots, their shoes are getting stuck, it's 6:45am, it is raining and we have no rain coats.....and the children are LAUGHING!!

Believe it or not, this is a road...the road to Karim Orphanage that we try to drive and usually get stuck on.

Rehema and I dancing in the rain and mud with our boots!

Hawa is having fun and staying dry on Rehema's back. And the other 3 girls are sharing my rain coat and staying dry and singing 'Rain Rain go away'!!

Mwana's shoes are so heavy with mud here she could no longer walk and she thought this was funny!! We ended up taking her shoes off and we carried her.

I carried Antonia most of the way and once I got her to the bus I went back where the kids stopped because they could no longer walk and carried another to the bus! The mud was so heavy on my boots I could hardley move my legs and with a bouncy laughing child on my back...OMG...what a work I got today! But we all had fun. I may feel the pain tomorrow though and I am glad it is saturday and the children dont have school!
